Correct the fee code

  • Example cause: Error inserting nomination
  • Correction:
    • If genotype IS NOT loaded - use Nomination tool (requires Nominator login).
    • If genotype IS loaded, send written request to CDCB customer service
  • NOTE:

1. ask about OLD animals to george
2. Fee codes cannot be updated after evaluation is released (incorrect fee is non-refundable)
3. Fee code assignment can be checked using "fee codes for genotypes loaded since the last invoice"among the Generate Genotype reports based on requester ID
4. If the fee code needs to be updated from 7 to fee code=5 for an animal that does not have a DHI herdID, the HRC should be set as U, otherwise, the fee will be changed back to 7 if the given herd ID is not a valid DHI herd ID.

Correct the Herd/Group ID

  • Example cause: Error during nomination, animal sold, etc
  • Correction:
    • If genotype IS NOT loaded: use Nomination tool (requires Nominator login).
    • If genotype IS loaded, If fee code = N, use Nomination tool to update, otherwise send a written request to CDCB customer service

Correct the Nominator/Requester

  • Example cause: Error during nomination, or animal sold to another nominator
  • Correction:
    1. Change Nominator ID from your organization to another organization using option sold function of the Genotype Update Application.
    2. Occasionally and in very specific situations, which require the transfer of a large number of animals, the nominator may request the CDCB to do so on their behalf following the next steps:
      1. Current nominator send a request to CDCB (explaining the situation) via Redmine (preferable) or email and provide a list of Sample IDs and Animal IDs (17 char IDs)
      2. The recipient should send a confirmation saying that they agree to the Nominator ID transfer
      3. CDCB process and generate the data(summary of the requested samples) and ask the current nominator for a confirmation
      4. Once the current nominator confirms, CDCB will process the records to complete the requesterID update.
See: Request for Large Transfer of Genotypes
  • Rules:
    1. If the animal has been billed for, you can sell to any Requester.
    2. If current FEE_CODE on the GENTOYPE RECORD is 'N' you can sell to any Requester with an existing 'NOMINATION' (paying or not) for the same animal.
    3. Else you can only sell to a Requester with a nomination having a paying fee_code (aka: any requester whom has agreed to pay for it).
